Mike Magill FCA

My name is Mike.  I founded Falcon XL Solutions in 2015 to offer Enterprise Risk Management Services and specialist Microsoft Excel solutions for any issue that you may face.  My focus is on small and medium sized organisations who need simple, cost effective solutions.

Having trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in 1995, I transferred from external audit to specialise in risk management and internal audit. In 2000 I moved into industry and, before forming this company, spent twelve years delivering internal audit and risk management services for Kier Group Plc.

During my career, alongside the risk management experience, I have gained a huge amount of experience of systems, processes and controls (good and bad) and have been involved in bringing about many process improvements. Over the years I have developed excellent spreadsheet skills and have used the functionality of Microsoft Excel and its in-built programming language to underpin many of these improvements.

I love problem-solving and decided to set up Falcon XL Solutions to offer my experience in risk management and data analysis.

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

My wife and I are extremely grateful for the support and blessings we have received in life and we want to play our part in helping those who have been less fortunate.  To that end, we currently have four organisations that we support on an ongoing basis using a proportion of Falcon XL Solutions’ profits.

Christians Against Poverty is an award winning, national debt counselling charity offering free help and advice through a network of debt centres based in the local church. CAP offers hope and a solution to people in debt through its top quality, in-depth service, as well as helping people find employment through CAP Job Clubs, releasing people from addictions through CAP Release Groups, teaching people how to live well on a budget through CAP Life Skills, and providing financial education through the CAP Money Course.

Compassion is one of the world's leading child development and child advocacy organisations. They work with the local church linking a child living in poverty with a loving sponsor. Each sponsor builds a personal relationship with their sponsored-child through letters and gives their child access to education, health checks and the opportunity to hear about Jesus.

There’s no quick fix to global poverty, but through Compassion’s programmes, children’s lives are being changed, and we can make a difference to families, to communities and even to entire nations.

Cornerstone exists to offer time, space and non-directive information to those facing unplanned pregnancy or suffering emotionally from a previous termination decision.   On going support is always offered in the form of a bespoke befriending service for all clients.

KingsGate is a multi-cultural, inter-generational church family.  Started in 1988 with just nine people meeting in a living room, KingsGate has grown from strength to strength, with one of the hallmarks being the incredible commitment of hundreds of men and women, of all ages, cultures, and walks of life – all of whom are committed to seeing people’s lives transformed by the power of God’s love.
